Madonna has some great ballads. And Madonna has some great dance songs. But rarely has a Madonna song been both a great ballad and a great dance song -- "Secret" is the exception. Junior Vasquez's first official remixing duty for Mo resulted in a pumped-up techno remix that jived with fans. MTV even put the remix video into heavy rotation. Although the sped-up vocals bother some fans, the re-edited lyrics ("mm mm, what I") and giddy sound effects more than make up for it. |
