Madonna fans love to dance. And the louder the beats, the fiercer the grind, the more pumped the bassline, the better it is. It should come as no surprise then that many Madonna fans love remixes, and Madonna certainly has a vast selection to choose from. I was curious, however, about which ones you thought were the best. And after narrowing it down through two rounds of voting, I've come up with a list of the top 25 remixes of Madonna's career. This should not be considered a list of Madonna's most artistic remixes, or her best dance mixes, or even her best mixes in general -- these are simply your favorites.

Three was the magic number on this list -- the two songs with the most remixes to make the top 25, "Music" and "Ray of Light," each had three mixes make the list. Even more interesting is the four-way tie for the remixer with the most mixes to make the top 25 -- Victor Calderone, William Orbit, Sasha, and Junior Vasquez each had three mixes make the list. It's also worth noting that the #1 song on this list positively blew away the rest of the remixes -- the race was nowhere near close. The remixes also span a wide range -- the oldest remix is from 1983, while the newest is from 2001.

Ranking was influenced by three factors -- the first round of voting to narrow down her mixes to a more manageable list, each song's success on the club play chart, and by far the largest factor were the scores given by the fans in the main round of voting, where you could rate each of 45 mixes on a 1 to 5 scale. With these factors, the score for the #25 song was 3.857, while the #1 song's score was 4.864. Personally, I was hoping that some of the more experimental mixes would make the list, but some of my favorites missed the top 25, such as Calderone's remixes of "Don't Tell Me" and "What It Feels Like For A Girl," as well as the Saturday Night mix of "What It Feels Like For A Girl" and the Starudst mix of "Holiday." This list had a clear predilection for club hits.
