![]() After "You Must Love Me" was met with only moderate interest, fans wondered how well "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," yet another ballad, would perform. Madonna, however, wanted to rev up the tempo on a powerful club remix of the song, even going so far as to record new vocals (complete with backup singers) for the remix. Enlisting Latin Club DJ's Pablo Flores and Javier Garza, the song evolved from a slow lament to a thumping celebration of Evita's love for her people. Madonna also recorded an alternate version of the remix in Spanglish. |
