and "La Isla Bonita"
stands as one of the most memorable examples.
Although the song was the smallest chart hit from
"True Blue," it was
one of her most successful singles worldwide. The
video was a somewhat odd combination of ideas.
For some of the video, Madonna appears very
boyish, wearing plain clothing and slicked-back
hair. For the rest of the video, she dons a
flamboyant red dress and dances in a red room
filled with candles, reminiscent of some of the
scenes from the "Like A Virgin"
video.
